A view of the life of a disciple in Southern California in 2012
We took pictures of the roof at the beginning of last week -- after the storm that damaged our home, and before the roof repairs. I'll post a couple here:
Maria Kettleson Anderson: I am a disciple of Jesus (see my post on 8/18/2006 for an explanation of what I really mean by that) and all of the posts through 12/2009 were written while I was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) in Newport Beach, CA. I transferred my membership in January of 2010 to St. Mark Presbyterian, but found that loving community already formed is tough to walk away from, and so I have had more than a year of peripheral involvement as I discerned where I should be. I am currently in the process of building connections and community at St. Mark again, which I rejoined in the fall of 2011. I am in my 40s, and am a wife, mother to 4 sons (ages 27, 26, 12, and 10), and step-mother to 2 sons (ages 22 and 19). Although -- like you -- I keep busy with many commitments and responsibilities, my life is centered around following after God through Jesus Christ and letting Him transform me through my relationship with Him and my relationships within my community of faith.
